Horses cannot vomit either, but equestrian ponies have this characteristic, as well as having other human characteristics.
It is entirely possible that their bodies have evolved to be able to bear children, especially given the low male birth rate.

Why would horses wear a condom. They go into heat. Unlike humans it’s extremely obvious if having sex is going to make a baby or not. There’s no need for condoms when mares just innately know if they would get pregnant or not and can just avoid sex on those days.
And no the STD angle doesn’t work either because why would you even include those in your magical cartoon pony fantasy in the first place

Yea, unless she’s in estrus, she won’t need that. And that’s assuming that they can even do anything because she wouldn’t even be physically capable of performing the act if she isn’t in heat.
