G4 was such a huge success that I don’t think Hasbro is ready to kill it off anytime soon.
My best guess is that Hasbro will try something like the fake G5 version of the Mane 6 that supposedly got leaked on-line way before G5 even came out. Remember that?
Well, I think Hasbro is going to try something like the fake G5 version of the Mane 6 for G6 mlp in a few more years from now seeing that fim was such a huge success so it’s likely that Hasbro will try a reboot of fim with G6 in the hopes of making mlp popular with the fim fans again.
I won’t be surprised if that really is the case, and Hasbro did go into that direction with G6 rather than make a completely new cast of ponies for G6 like they did with G5.

Using Escape from Catrina as an ending is misleading. It was literally the 2nd MLP animation produced, it’s only the “finale” because they also aired it at the end of Friends season 2.
