It’s deeply idiomatic. The upper left panel text is in an optimistic, comforting tone, using metaphorical language to talk about the importance of resilience. Something like:

AppleJack: According to custom, just as with small grass flowers, and like resilient children, even though things may be tough or painful they are guided by wisdom or resilience. So even though things are hard now, it will be ok. We’ll get through this.

Rainbow Dash: Yes, while you were saying this, you were crying and saying they would never come back.

The text in the actual drawing is:

AJ:
她们还那么小 - They are still so small (or young).
要是她们再也回不来要是她们再也回不来怎 - What if they never come back?

Rainbow Dash:
她们都非常聪明勇敢 - They’re smart and wise.
相她们都非常聪明勇敢 - They are VERY smart and wise.
会没事的 AJ. - Trust me, AJ.

Please note - this is highly idiomatic. AJ is making statements - not asking questions. It’s a stylistic choice that I think works well for her. But the real message is “What if?” even though she’s saying “If they can’t”.
