4chan is still overall much more free and open than really most other sites, all that happens is that sometimes mods go on crazed power-trips and start enforcing crazy and insane restrictions on boards and then people begin to lash back and then everything is business as usual by the end of the month.

You can say that again….thats one of the main reasons I left 4can years ago. And don’t even get me started on /k/

Getting back on topic… yeah, /mlp/‘s mods banned satyrs due to 4chan’s irrational fear of furries. Ponies are allowed, humanized ponies are allowed, “ponygirls”, ie Equestria Girls with pony ears and tails are allowed, but anthropomorph/furries are not, even though satyrs don’t look at all like furries. Mods have eased up on restrictions for now but there’s still no word on satyrs yet.
 
So yeah, 4chan now has more draconian censorship and rules than fucking Ponychan. Tulpa, Flutterrape, and erotic CYOAs are fine, but satyrs? EEEEEEEW!!! YIFF IN HELL FURFAGS!!1!
