The two covers of the comic so far show that it may be where the Discord Arc ended. It is obvious that the content of the account of the experiences between the Mane 5 and Discord is about the new heroines (and hero) being able to live up to the legacy of the Mane 6 (and if the New Mane 6 were to appear in S2 of MYM G5 with Misty as the new member, is this in time). Discord had initially wanted to remove magic, but changed his mind and put the Mane 5 to the test. Then it meant that Pipp had played a very important role in the arc.

And we now see that the Mane 5 has passed the test. They are now where the Mane 6 had been in the first cover of #1, with Sunny in Twilight Sparkle’s place. We already saw in E2 of C2 when Sunny and Opaline had their first “meeting”, when the fire alicorn wanted to manipulate the naive and inexperienced pony, that she has the right qualities to become Twilight’s successor and a princess for the Ponykind. Because it is not power that gives the alicorns respect, it is the desire to protect, help and inspire.

The Discord Arc is likely to end in early Spring 2023, possibly around the same time as the end of S1 of MYM G5. Then the first conflict between Opaline and Sunny will be over, and the ponies will discover a much bigger - and more dangerous - world than they thought. And it is possible that we can get a small answer to the mystery surrounding Equestria’s collapse, which is definitely not due to Opaline or Twilight regarding the creation of the Unity Crystals. Perhaps the identity of The Big Bad, if he exists, will be revealed.

And it is possible that Discord will perhaps disappear for good if he were to find Fluttershy again and if applicable there is a dimension for the dead and ascended beings of the Ponykind - there is nothing in the G5 world that will bind him to the mortal world .
