Didn’t those Equestria Girls anime figurines have detailed panties? These figurines are directed at adult fans so I guess they can get away with the whole “sex sells” method a bit more easily.

It looks like a CGI rendering of the toy. However I do agree that the cropping and angle does make it look more like fanart.
