The founder used to work with the Chinese military’s intelligence department. Given China’s governmental practices, a boatload of assumptions, heresy, and political drama unfolded. I wish tech and politics could just stay a million miles apart.

It’s the matching eyes/armor plates. Looks really sharp!

But they certainly made excellent hardware. They’re one of the few brands that made their inhouse chips for their phones, the Kirin chips. The others are Samsung with their Exynos chips and Apple with their Bionic.
