This is the picture that made me finally watch mlp:fim. I remember it like this was a flashback episode.
 
I had been observing this pony thing happening on my /b/ and appreciated the influx of new and creative missuse of a children’s cartoon. I didn’t get the references and had no idea that there was even a new channel (I don’t even own a TV, and my last tv tuner was analog). I watched the first two episodes and in half a second fell in love with Pinkie. I convinced my wife to take a chance on it and natually she loved it; she’d be Rarity. When Luna came arround I added the torrent search to my desolate bookmarks list and scheduled the download on my calendar.
 
With much abridged, when I saw Gordon Freeman as a pony I felt as though this was either an afront to the honor of the all-time best video game hero or a respect homage. I am not disappoint.

Same here, I remember some guy on some forum using this as an avatar back in early 2011 when the fandom was starting to get noisy. Oh memories…
