As some have pointed out, no one is ever going to change anyone’s mind in a comments section.
 
For instance, I’ve been having an in-depth discussion about Princess Twilight with someone, but it’s in private. I don’t mind the idea, he’s very much against it. We never expect to change anyone’s mind. All we both really want is for someone to listen to our points of view and take them seriously.
 
We still have the same opinions, but we’ve gained each other’s profound respect. While I may not agree with his point of view, or he of mine, I will defend him. He’ll do the same for me.
 
I mean, really. That’s the best advice I can give. Find someone who is willing to listen, and discuss with them in private. Be willing to step in their shoes, explain your thoughts, assumptions, and reasoning, and be patient. It’s worth the effort. :)
 
I’ve talked to a few folks who aren’t happy about this-or-that, and every one is glad someone was willing discuss the topic with them, and take their thoughts seriously. I feel better for understanding where they’re coming from.
 
But non-ridicule, serious discussion in the comments section of anywhere? Nah. Not going to happen. Sadly.

Actually, everybody knows that they take their orders directly from the world’s secret Reptilian masters. Secret Reptilians include Queen Elizabeth, Presidents Bush and Obama, at least a few popes, and many more. Also the studio in Vancouver is a front – they do all of the real work in an underground base below Denver International Airport.
