@Ebalosus
That you want the big red one?
@DudeManGuy
And how!
It might as well have been called that what with it being such a clusterfuck.
har har har you know what I mean, funny guy/girl :P
Yeah, but The Vegas one didn’t sound like a hard-core pegging convention.
I know, I couldn’t remember the name of that con that went to shit in Las Vegas, and that was the first thing that came to mind
>Las Pegicon
Oh god, that’s a horrible name.
What is the point of this picture? Yes, I can see the contradiction, but the question remains: why bring it up?
Was some shit going down at what I presume was Las Pegicon (or whatever the fuck it was called) in the everfree network camp?
…What? Seriously, I have no recollection of ever doing anything like that.
Pics or it never happened.
Come now; during the S2-S3 hiatus you’d show up in any thread about Trixie or possible S3 episodes like clockwork (and amusingly also like Clockwork) just to state that she was a non-character, that she had no reason at all to return and that it was a mystery why anyone would ever care about her. The only other guy to one-up you on that front was Captain Beat.
>you spent a goodly time putting down anyone on Ponychan that dared to like Trixie
What the hell?
No, seriously, what are you talking about? “Goodly time” ? I don’t ever remember “putting down anyone who dared to like Trixie”, let alone spending a “goodly amount of time” doing so.
Considering that (as of at least as of a year ago) you spent a goodly time putting down anyone on Ponychan that dared to like Trixie, I’m not sure you’re the most qualified party to ask that question.
It’s because people insistence of declaring other sub-groups as bad representations of whatever ideal one might have of the show, normally resulting in people claiming any one group is worse or better than another one and thus undeserving to be part of said group.
This is particularly acute in this fandom because of the subject matter being something made with the specific aim at small children, thus making a divide upon the line of those who want to remain within those bounds, those than like to bend them, and those that don’t see why they can’t exists outside of them. Other cartoons, with their higher age target group, have more shades of judgement to be taken from any one action, thus allowing those groups to exists generally with the normal confines of the show, but not the case with this.
Thus, groups splits in these lines and end up fighting with each other over who is a “true” fan because of it.
Or just still people.
Because people are stupid.
I’m wondering more about how a fandom for a show about friendship has fragmented into lots of sub-communities that all hate each other.
THE RIDE NEVER ENDS
That might be true.
Ponies are used by most of the fandom a sort of emotional crutch for deep-seated emotional issues?
I know we’ve been doing it since at least Mare-do-well.
That’s a serious question, not some rhetorical posturing or whatever.
Isn’t that what we’ve been doing since that Treehouse Sleepover episode?
And at this rate, we may never stop.
Isn’t that what we’ve been doing since Twilicorn was officially leaked?
