Normally, healthy people (and probably ponies) don’t feel how they breathe or blink, as these processes supposed to be biologically automated, neither they feel their tongue position while it’s idle. But if you just get reminded that you need to breathe and blink manually and find a comfortable spot for your tongue in the mouth, the automation is highly likely to be disrupted for a while causing discomfort, and times needed for its recovery may greatly vary; and this is most likely a case here

This sort of sounds like Rainbow gave Trixie a neurological disorder of some kind. Um, maybe Rainbow Dash electrocuted her with a storm cloud? It also sounds like Trixie should be in the hospital if she’s not able to breathe automatically…
