It goes both ways unfortunately. I’ve seen the bullying on both sides, including people who are pride picking on people. It’s a lose-lose situation. It’s just better for people to stay quiet.

The loudest people are the impulsive and angry. It’s a treadmill of toxicity and hypocrisy.
Everybody else is living their life silently. Maturity is learning, respect, and love.

People where conditioned at a young age to be uncomfortable even identifying with gay.
Most people who say they support gay will become uncomfortable if the gay flag was put on their beer can, because the off chance it will be interpreted as they themselves being gay.
Basically people will say “i support gay” followed by a three paged essay on why they themselves aren’t gay. Insecurity and prejudice runs deep.
This is why pride art will always have people who needlessly challenge it.

Violence is not the answer. Respect isn’t demanded, it’s earned. Treat each other with it, even if the other isn’t willing. Let the social pressure do it’s work, not your words. We are all human beings, do not treat each other less than one.
Make love, not war.
