I know, I was talking about the Japanese and European ones.
The European and Australian SNES used the same case design and colour scheme as the Super Famicom. It was only the North American market that got the boxy grey and purple design.
Technically, those were Super Famicon controllers.
But, whatever, technicality.
You may be right - I saw it on the UK Club Nintendo catalogue, but I didn’t have enough stars to afford it at the time. I don’t know if the US version was a Club Nintendo exclusive, but it’s clearly out there. I just happened to find that on Google Images, so I don’t know more than that.
I heard of that, but I thought that was only released in Japan & Europe’s Club Nintendo? I never saw it in the American one. (The one you have pictured is the American SNES controller. The Euro/Japanese one had more colorful buttons like the N64 & GameCube controllers.)
They did a limited edition SNES “Classic Controller”. It plugs into the Wiimote, as with the Classic Controller, not directly into the console. I think it was only available through Club Nintendo though.
