I think you might be crying doomed a bit early on that one. It works that way most of the time, but only if it’s for better quality. Bigger does not always equal better.  
(And in a rare twist, the uploader of the other one requested the merge this way.)

I feel sorry for you, lucidshawman, Ferrotter posted a slightly bigger version than yours.
 
Because of that your smaller image will end up being merged with the bigger one, and you’ll lose your first posting on Derpibooru.
 
Man that sucks.

Great, since this one’s a bigger image then lucidshawman’s first post on Derpibooru will be merged with this instead, and lucidshawman will lose his first ever Derpibooru post.
