Been a while since i posted but here we are again, this time with something I am personally quite proud of and thats also pretty lore relevant to my main sona Onyx. SHE FINALLY HAS PARENTS, well officially designed ones that is.

Meet Orion and Elowyn Opaline.

Orion is Onyx father and alicorn in hiding. Onyx does not know he is one until far into her adulthood. He left early into her childhood after it became apparent some things were wonky with her magic, so in order to protect his family before people started to ask questions, he left hoping to one day reunite with them and to find a way to not lose his wife to the claws of time. He deeply loves both Onyx and Elowyn. He is an ancient blacksmith who mastered the fusion of metal and crystal into some of the most potent of weapons and armors, usually serving the royalty directly to craft specialized items for them.

Elowyn is Onyx Mother, a crystal pony unicorn with a talent for astronomy. Her mark represents her ability to shape crystals into special lenses that can make different things visible in the stars that otherwise wouldnt be. Think of it like for example making infrared light visible. She always had a good relationship with Onyx and always tried her best to improve Onyx life. She is the reason Onyx did not run away any sooner as Onyx genuinely does care alot about her. The outside factors simply ended up being too strong in the end. She desperately hopes to see her daughter again (dont worry, she will eventually along with her husband)
