‘’… We grew weary of the everlasting battle and the dark magic of the king of shadows almost overpowered us. It was in that moment my sister and I realized that it was Sombra’s strategy all along to tire us out to then envelop us in fear when we grew weak enough. To prevent succumbing to the darkness and leave Equestria to the shadows we had no other choice but to banish him. Our horns crossed and using the little strength we had left a surge of light radiated over all of the Crystal Empire, driving away Sombra’s corruption and the King himself. Vaporized by the blinding light, the King’s howling spirit was dragged deep down in the glacial depths of the arctic north to be imprisoned in ice and snow for a thousand years. My sister and I were at first relieved that the battle was over but that feeling fleeted soon as it was revealed that it was a pyrrhic victory for in his last breath King Sombra cursed the Crystal Empire binding it and the crystal ponies to his fate, enslaving them even in banishment. The skies cried when we returned to our castle and we were greeted by silence and sadness. No smile could be seen that day and sun nor moon were visible for they were locked away behind the clouds…
