Laurel is a 23 year old doe of the Arboreal deer subspecies that has lived her entire life in the high society of Canterlot City. This complex doe doesn’t have a job as such, but you could quite uncharitably, but accurately call her more of a troublemaker than anything else.
Physically, Laurel is tall, elegant and slender of frame, as is to be expected of any deer that passes for nobility within their species. She is unscarred and very healthy of body, and is considered one of the most physically attractive examples of her lineage.
However, as attractive as she might be, she is most definitely going through a very real delinquent phase, and rather than doing anything good with her life, she will quite happily start non violent trouble for no good reason, and cause all manner of sneaky mischief and inconvenience for everypony else.
Vandalism, theft, property damage, and use and distribution of illegal drugs and bootleg alcohol are some of the actions that she has been involved in, and thus far has not been pulled up on any of it, as nopony knew that all of this was her doing. She has a tendency to use and manipulate others to get them to do her dirty work, and buys their silence and loyalty so that they don’t rat her out.
She does all this to fulfil her twisted sense of fun, and couldn’t care less what anypony thinks of her. Her parents passed away within weeks of each other three years ago, and secretly, Laurel misses them deeply and regrets her life choices since their passing, but she would never willingly admit this to anyone- so deep is her denial.
Unknown to her, Princess Celestia has already gotten her eye on Laurel after an anonymous tip off, presumably from one of the patsies of Laurel’s numerous crimes. For now, Laurel is being watched very closely indeed by surveillance operatives, but it is only a matter of time before Sol Invicta herself takes action.
Laurel is well known as a garrulous party girl, and to those she meets at these events, she is well spoken, polite, and courteous, a far cry from the doe she has become. Naturally, she drinks a lot of alcohol, though she does have a very well developed tolerance for it by this point.
When it comes to more personal matters, Laurel is pansexual and currently rather promiscuous. She doesn’t care at all about the species of a suitor, only that they are physically compatible. This appears very shallow of her, but as always, there is a reason for this behaviour. It is a subconscious cry for help and salvation from the situation that she has gotten herself into.
As much as she wouldn’t admit to it, Laurel knows full well that she is doing wrong, and that directly AND indirectly, she is ruining lives. But she doesn’t know how to get out now that she is so deep. In her subconscious, she reasons that perhaps through this unconventional manner, she might find the one that could save her.
That, of course, remains to be seen.
