We can be together even if Princess Celestia banishes us to the moon!” The purple unicorn mare screamed. Her friends stared at her sadly. Applejack came over to her unicorn friend’s side.
“Y’all have mah support, Twilight.” The earth pony said Twilight smiled at her. Pinkie Pie trotted over to Twilight’s other side.
“I don’t know much about love, but whatever makes my friends happy, makes me happy!” The bouncy pink pony slung a foreleg around her friend’s shoulder. Rainbow dash hovered over Twilight.
“You’re a smart pony Twilight, so this must be the right decision.” Twilight smiled up at the cerulean Pegasus mare.
Fluttershy trotted softly towards her friend and nuzzled her. “You and your brother will be happy together, I just know it.” She smiled sweetly.
Rarity walked up to Twilight with a smile on her face. “Though I do not approve of incest, I believe in true love. And if your brother is who you’ve found it with, You have my support.” Twilight cried tears of joy. None of her friends rejected her. She was so happy.

also, why would everyone instantly support this, even when Twilight’s lines outright state that everyone else was against it just moments before?

It’s not like they’re biologically related.
Why would all of her friends support her decision to make it with her brother when they all have reservations about the idea? Why would they agree when it’s obviously illegal?
