Anime People’s skin color most of the time is simply a choice of coloring, since Artists are often Japanese.
There is no NEED for diversity unless the artist wants to.

The beauty of the pastel skin tones is that they are not culturally/regionally limiting like reality. However, once people make them like us then there is a need to try and discern what tones would be best for each based on the factors. For instance, Twilight is often depicted as either Asian or Indian in style and skin tone. And that’s fine, but for some reason them ALL being Caucasian just seems so… limiting.

This is a great and adorable human/creature style and would make a great comic. I personally just wish they were not all so close to the same skin tone. Even if you didn’t want to go with the pastel tones.
