Twilight had to fight tooth and nail to have this school established, so it’s understandable that she’d be a bit zealous about how it’s run and how her students perform, even after she stopped obsessing about following EEA guidelines. Since the Crusaders had been desperate to get into the school, perhaps she saw Cozy’s failure of a test as them lashing out for being denied. She saw it as a slap to the face to what she was teaching. It doesn’t make what she did right, but it’s at least a possible explanation.
My bigger problem with this episode was how there was little time for a proper apology. All Twilight did was acknowledge that she knew the truth now, but even a simple ‘I’m sorry for doubting you’ would have felt so much better.
Not that it’s worth lashing out at the writers for, of course. Nothing is worth that.
