I am planning to steal some and then burn them on youtube if they manage to be released here. Though the odds of that are actually pretty slim, there’s only one comic shop in the whole city, they’ll likely order whatever variant cover isn’t for majority publication, and I think there’s like 5 this time around.

I think Tara Strong is more familiar with PT than that– PT was invited to be in the Bronies documentary, and Tara coddled her on Twitter when she complained about how everyone was saying negative stuff about her being in it (she only told Tara it was about her looks, though). I think that the real problem is that Tara only knows PT’s side of the story and doesn’t know what a horrible person PT actually is.
 
Anyway, Hot Topic has a pretty good track record for getting good exclusive covers. I wish I had gotten the Trixie Lord of the Rings cover for last month’s issue while it was available, but I did get the Solid Snake / Sam Fisher cover this month, and it is glorious.

Tara probably has no idea who PT is, she likely gets swamped with tweets and just responds to any that look “worthy” (asking to support some noble-sounding cause).
 
As for the cover, I’ll just get whatever Forbidden Planet throws my way, which is most likely one of the “default” covers.

Regarding the image, I would strongly emplore of people not to buy this cover, although I am pretty sure I don’t need to tell that to anyone here by this point– just make sure everyone is aware that Yamino drew it.
 
I don’t think Yamino was the sole reason Derpy was censored, but she certainly likes to take credit for it, and as a result we should not support her becoming involved with official MLP content in any way shape or form. Its at least as bad as Tara Strong coddling PurpleTinker whenever she stirs up drama.

That was me by the way. One of the cross eyed people who Yamino so gratefully deleted the comments for when I tried to argue my point. Fuck her.

Yamino is a horrible ableist who is hated by pretty much every disabled person who loved Derpy. Please do not buy the comic with this cover.
 
If you do not hate people who have lazy eyes, do not buy this comic. Do not give Yamino any support for the horrible way she acts.

If you want to have a civil argument, get a real account and screen name and stop trying to hide behind anonymity. I don’t appreciate it when a background pony follows me around harassing me and then whines about being “bullied” when I tell them off. You can’t have your cake and eat it too– that is, you can’t hide behind anonymity while harassing other users, and then expect to get the same rights granted to those of us who are willing to actually own our opinions and comments.
 
You don’t want a screen name? Fine. Just don’t expect to get any respect when you go around trying to pick fights, because you won’t get any from me, and don’t expect the mods to take pity on you when you’re reaping the rotten fruits of your own sowing.

well, the initial post is all open once more like I said, you can hop around back and forth from there to look (mostly BDR and niels). It was a big enough flap to hit most ‘major online news sites’ even  
this happened on the tumblr back then but idk how to use that site at all, it’s all weird.  
Can’t view ED myself anymore to find the related bits, since the site got banned by my ISP (and a whole host of others thanks to the various P2P lawsuits)

eh, different strokes then I guess. Some people wouldn’t forgive it if it were drawn by Gacy, I won’t forgive it for being drawn by Yamino. Simple as that, really.

I guess now that I’ve seen the pics on pbooru, I can add “annoying white knighter” to my adjectives to describe Yamino. But I stand by my comment of how hilarious it is to hold that grudge (and I always thought Derpygate was a low point for the fandom that exposed how entitled it was). Fun cover is fun cover regardless of who drew it.

It also might be difficult for admins to help you if you’re an anonymous/background pony who has no account here. You actually have more options if you log into the site under a screen-name.

Sorry about that. Yeah, lots of stuff on pbooru showing bronies attacking her, which I detest, but no evidence that she was suppressing differing opinions. Guess I’ll have to look elsewhere.

I would rather keep all that drama not-here. pbooru still has some of the old PB images associated with all that, can probably get a decent taste of how things were from that small sample (including the death threats against her). Otherwise, I hope you like trawling through tumblr.

Not that I don’t believe you (what you say is consistent with her handling of the S3 finale), but is there any evidence of her hiding dissenting opinions and blocking those who disagreed with her during Derpygate? Screenshots of comments that were later hidden, journals from the recipients of her treatment, that sort of thing? It’d be good to have something to show newcomers to the fandom who think “No way she could have done that, she must be getting a bad rap.”

She banned and blocked any disabled people that actually commented in order to screencap nothing but buttmads, then sent that to DHX whining she was being bullied. They only came back long afterwards when ED posted screenshots everywhere. She also hides behind her token disabled relative the way racists hide behind their ‘token black friend’ to pass racist edicts, zoning, and taxes. She appears to think everyone ‘against’ any of her SJW insanity deserves to be oppressed and mocked, even if they’re a part of a group she ‘defends’. Just see Sister Claire for how she treats ‘acceptable targets.’ Catholics are treated a lot worse than Derpy was treated. In short, pray she never does anything important ever, and this is the last involvement she ever has with mlp in general. If this coward gets any power over anything again, may as well tear up your constitution and call yourselves England.  
I think a lot more highly of even Purple Tinker because of what a mess she makes.

I actually don’t know much about Yamino except “talented artist that supported underping Derpy,” which I’m kinda ok with.

Yamino is seriously doing art for the IDW MLP comic? That was… Unexpected. (Does she do any other “professional” works? I thought she was just a fan-artist.)
 
It’s also surprising ’cause I thought she was soured with the whole “pony/brony” thing after alot of FiM-fans were blaming her for all of the “Derpygate drama.” While I disagree with her on Derpy being “albeist,” it was wrong of people to solely blame her for all that, or the edits they made to the episode.  
(Though, her remarks about “bronies gloating” during when the S3 finale first aired were a bit uncalled for, and just asking for trouble.)
 
Fan-drama aside, she is a good artist, and I like this cover.
