There’s loads of possibilities for the Rarity and Applejack interaction. One is, as pointed out, the shipping/pairing. Another is that its Rarity’s B-day and Applejack, in lieu of other gifts, ripped that flower from someones flowerbed. Or Applejack is just trying to be nice. We’ll never know I guess.
