I recently made a piece inspired by the concept of Luna about to become Nightmare Moon.

There was this commission i did that is based on the idea of Celestia becoming Daybreaker

So these two pieces influenced this new sinister image you see before you.

I used to do some grim dark creepy pony art years ago and my favorite thing about them was creating twisted expressions, this grining Celestia is kind of a call back to that a little.

I have not seen the episode where Day breaker was first shown in years but like my idea for Luna I see this as the moment just after Ceslista has snapped. and has just escaped her tower, just blown up her sisters bedroom and is about to rain terror over all of Equestria. I am also going to say that Twilight would have still been her student at this time so imagine how that goes with her lifelong mentor essentially becoming a Goddess of destruction and tranny. This really is not my thing for ponies in terms of tone but its fun to go darker sometimes.
