It’s not even the “real” mane 6? That’s gonna be weird, but I can see them having a bit of fun with these “new friends” having human names. “Why do you keep calling me Fluttershy?”

The weirdest thing about this movie is that little bit of Pony animation that will almost certainly be at the beginning (whether or not it’s that little bit of animation). If it’s animated by DHX, which it almost certainly will be, it’ll probably look like part of the show, but then it will go straight from good ol’ ponies into something I don’t even want to think about.
 
If it was just the humanized stuff throughout the whole movie, it would be easier to ignore, but the fact that they’re mixing in ponies is…slightly horrifying. Although I always look forward to new Pony animation, the fact that these characters are going to be mixed in with this movie just seems wrong on so many levels, even if it turned out to be well written. Someone should take just the pony animation from the film and put it up on YouTube as Equestria Girls. Now that I would watch. XP

So they are actually going to give Equestria Girls an attempt for an interesting story that revolves around getting a powerful crown that was taken to an alternate dimension and Twilight had to become human in some sort of reconnaissance mission in order to retrieve it?
