Oh. Well, My point stands, anyway. For someone who preached giving your all to the greater good, she was exceptionally self-serving and lazy as a person.
I meant that the concept of lamb was lazy.
Lamb relied too much on charisma, she couldn’t hold up a real argument if questioned.
Her method of ‘treatment’ involved systematically breaking the minds of those who came to see her. Somehow, I think Ryan was doing everybody in Rapture a solid by locking the nutcase up to be left for the Science Nuts.
Fuck BioShock 2 and the horse it came in on. Lamb’s lazy as all hell. Yes, she’s the opposite of Ryan, but the thing is is that the only people who believe those things are the strawmen Objectivists ramble about when they bring up altruism.
As for Ryan… upon further reflection, I’ve gained more appreciation for Fontaine. When you get right down to it, Fontaine is everything Ryan values, thrown back in his face. And Ryan can’t take what he dishes out. Rapture was supposed to be his fiefdom, not Fontaine’s!
Even so, most people I spoke to said the ending was too confusing. If all it takes to confuse those guys is piers unbreaking and infinite lighthouses, then I fear for the future of humanity.
And, yes, Comstock was compelling. Not Charismatic like Lamb, not idealistic like Ryan, he was compelling.
The quantum mechanics stuff was a buncha 2deep4me bullshit, and the revolution plot was wrapped up in false equivalencies, but I did enjoy the characterizations of erryone.
Comstock is best Beast/False Prophet combo package.
