It makes up for those that don’t have ZAS.
Last I checked onamonapias are not part of any language, some may be used more in certain areas when one language is prevalent but it’s no part of the language, so i don’t see how it’s a “sound effect in Spanish”.

It’s unique and sounds weird.
The ZAS happens a lot less then a creeper in his comics, trying to find one without ZAS in it is easy but not so much to find one without a creeper, so I would say ZAS is like a meme in them.
