I am originally from Europe, but I lived in South Korea for 5 years.
While they are originally from China, they have been very popular in Korea for at least several years. In Korean they are called 탕후루, which is just a transliteration of their Chinese name. When googling that name, you can find many pictures (including the orange slice variant, which I admittedly can’t recall seeing while I still lived there).
Isn’t sugar-coated haws only in China?
Oh, so amazing? What nationality are you from.
I have and I am pretty sure Maren (the artist of this picture) has as well, because they are Korean and those sugar-coated haws (and other fruits) are everywhere in Korea. Although I have never seen orange slices.
