That would be incorrect. Merge reverted and remerged properly.
I saw that, but was unclear on what the “merge into” operation meant. Whoops. (And apparently @Robomorons was making the same mistake as me at the same time. >> )
Unfortunately, since the larger version has been merged into this one, we can’t reupload it and merge the right direction to fix the problem. ohwell ..
Oh, okay then.
But still!
Allow me to quote, verbatim: “This is the ID number you think this image should be merged into.”
So, upload new one, go to old image, insert new number, hit accept.
Not rocket science!
