I mean, Sprout was kind of being a dick first in this scene, and sometimes to shut a dick down, you’ve gotta be a dick back, give them a taste of their own medicine.
And also, honestly, it would not surprise me in the slightest if that agreement to move past those things was something Sprout unilaterally declared, and the Mane 5 decided to humor him because of their good nature.

Yeah. Bringing up someone’s past mistakes to shut them down just reminds me of what happens in abusive relationships a lot. Where someone brings up a bad thing someone did that they claim to have gotten over, so the person continually feels bad about themselves. And Sprout said they had agreed to move past it, so the other ponies’ treatment of him wasn’t very nice, they should have either told him they weren’t ready to forget instead of pretending to forgive him and then pointing out his actions from a worse time.
I know Sprout is a rude and selfish little guy but that’s part of his personality; to see the kind protagonists, the Mane 5, do such a jerk move is unpleasant. Sprout could have brought up their mistakes in retaliation but he just reminded them they had agreed to move past it, but I guess the Mane 5 didn’t hold true to their word. One of many reasons A Maretime Bay Adventure is so much better written, more heartfelt, and truer to the essence of My Little Pony than MYM is to me.

I think someone made a point before that Pipp is not squeaky clean. Haven and Pipp were okay deceiving the entire pegasus population for years for their own benefit. Zipp is in the same boat though she didn’t like the lie, she went along with it. They were going to be arrested but for some reason, everyone forgets about this.
I would also like to point out that Sunny breaks the law constantly but doesn’t get arrested because she’s friends with the corrupt authorities, Hitch. As for Izzy, she was going to be arrested by Hitch and Sprout for trespassing earth pony territory. None of these ponies are squeaky clean.
