MLP is the kind of show that works best where it only touches on more heavy elements, but then pulls back and makes them upbeat and happy. It’s definitely not the kind of show that needed to actually have a grim and serious analysis of parental neglect XD

Yeah. I was going to not rant about Scootaloo’s parents, but thank you for bringing up the exact same points I would have.

Yeah. I like too how they ran the gamut of how how the different parents are, and even retroactively gave flaws to Twilight’s parents where they just let Twilight take the consequences of their actions in Once Upon A Settlement and really didn’t seem to care. They have a range of flaws, and none of them are bad people, like they’re just people with flaws. I think the only ones who were flawed to the point of actually being bad parents, though still not terrible people, were Scootaloo’s parents in how negligent they were. They basically dumped their kid off with a pair of aunts, who themselves really didn’t seem to have a whole lot of time for Scoots, and just went off globetrotting and having fun, and then inserted themselves back into Scootaloo’s life all like “we’re here to take you away from the life you’ve built and the friends and family you’ve made without us and we don’t care how you feel about that”. And even that was deliberate: the shows calls them out on it in a very nice way, like Scootaloo clearly loves them and isn’t spiteful, but it really does more or less end on the note that Scootaloo doesn’t need them and is happier with the surrogate family she was forced to make in their absence :P

One of the cutest moms made even cuter as a floofed up pleasantly smelling skunk? Bow Hothoof is one lucky husband certainly.

Also, a Booyah. Never realised that her name was actually a fart joke and I am going to charge an unreasonably expensive rent price for that thought in hopes it will leave my headspace eventually on it’s own.

Well, her hyper-competitive nature has lead to her being a bit of a stinker. And that’s not even considering the Season 9 episode :“2, 4, 6, Greeeat”, which was a total stinker al of its own for Dash somehow not understanding the value of a cheer?

Yooo nice! She looks adorable, and there’s actually quite a few ponies with fart-pun names. Zephyr Breeze, Tempest Shadow, Thunderlane… etc.

If you ever loose sight of her, just follow the path of horny ponies she leaves in her wake

Does this mean Rainbow Dash is also a skunk?
