Well I really don’t care too much for the first person perspective much either, I just was fine with it because at the very least the first Prime game was really good.
Other M however didn’t really have any redeeming factors at all in my book, nothing felt right. One of very few games I’ve actually sold back, for the reasons mentioned before.
The etch there own.
I don’t mind first person perspective, I just really dislike being forced to use it so much, it’s why I like Metal Gear, I only need first person for aiming and a few other things, I don’t have to stay in it.
I’ll take a forced first person perspective over having a miserably bad plot, poor controls, and overly linear gameplay in a Metroid game.
Really? In that case!
Worst idea here ever had(to me at lest) I can take the problem of Other M over FORCED first person view.
To be fair, the first-person perspective was Miyamoto’s idea, not Retro’s. They originally wanted to do Prime as an over-the-shoulder shooter, which would have eliminated the awkward camera shifts to the morph ball and screw attack.
I know, but I have a HUGH dislike for games that FORCE me the be in first person view so much.
Retro did good with the Prime series but i’m still putting some points against them for that.
dude, Metroid current situation after Other M is bad…
>is written: only retro studios can save metroid.
Yaa…. I like Prime and all but I always count point against them for makeing it first person only….
well, the original was made by Retro and in the last direct it was annouce a 3ds port…
Or Star Fox…or F Zero…
well, that game is coming, but retro is not doing it…
that means they could be making a new metroid!
is written: only retro studios can save metroid.
it says
…not making making Donkey Kong Country Returns 3DS etc…
At the bottom of the screen!
So pretty much they are trying to get back to the old model of conferences they used to have.
what?
