You obviously have no idea how lava works: the heat can only affect you when you come into contact with the lava. Until then, you can get as close to it as you can without any ill effects.

I’d say it’s something instinctive; jumping around between things was certainly something our primate ancestors did!

I remember playing this. I also remember destroying the TV stand. Wings would make this game so much easier.
