i have A theory, Maybe Opaline did not mean to scream/hurt misty, She did it out of frustration. Anger is an emotion that can cause people to go out of control, yet this does not mean she did a good thing no. It means that (if true she did not mean to hurt) she regrets or at least feels sorrow over hurting her.

I’ve seen many times sentences put like that when someone tries to justify or look it the other way of their bad actions.
Meant to or not; ABUSE is never justifiable of anything even if they feel regret or sorrow afterwards. Never!
