I love the small visual detail that she still has some of the colour she regained with her breakthrough, faded from when the doctor came in, but not to the point of what it was prior to the breakthrough. Very neat bit of visual storytelling there.
I’ve read every panel and every comment of this thus far, and I’ve gotta say that OP is doing fantastic - if hard-hitting - work, not only in showing how eating disorders really function, but in how to take the first step forward too. Keep it up, Anon; no doubt you’re saving someone’s life in the long run.
This panel hits REALLY hard. I remember when I saw my cousin at a time when she was in this state and saying what is essentially the same as what the panel says. It was both scary and horrendously saddening to see her in this state when were were both only 14/15 or so at the time.
