Littlepip used a drug called Party Time Mint-alls to give her a boost, but also grew addicted to them. Velvet had her knocked out and tied down until the drug left her system. She promised not to use them again, but…well, here we are.
If I recall correctly, though, there was only one time that she used them post addiction.
