And she gets the only shown flashback.
They’re really going the extra mile to make any suggestion of her being a background pony laughable.
They did what true friends do and that is not immediately give up on them when they go astray.
I wouldn’t say they unconditionally forgive him. They’re clearly aware at the end that he isn’t quite at the top of his game in regard to the friendship thing. He’s learning, though.
