Show me a real-life woman who can do THAT, though.
>Implying visual evidence isn’t sufficient.
Cute. And I suppose you believe its perfectly reasonable and not hypocritical at all to lean on the same article again and again without offering up a second opinion piece supporting your claims?
Also, don’t try to play the Ad Hominem card when you’ve already tossed out insults yourself, petty as they may be.
Do you have any actual arguments or sources which have scientific backing (As opposed to videos on YT), or just ad hominem attacks?
I’m sorry I can’t be as fast on the return as fine folks such as yourself, but I have a life outside of derpibouru and I can’t be asked to respond to the narrow-minded assumptions of fools as quickly as I’d like to.
As for your weak attempt at dismissing the evidence I provided, all you’ve accomplished is making yourself look thick-headed. What those videos (that’s a plural there pal, you do know how to read and count, don’t you?) show is that untrained men are NOT stronger than female athletes. By dismissing the footage, you’re just telling people you’d rather keep your head in the ground and believe what you’ve been told to believe rather than look around and acknowledge the obvious reality. Hardly relevant? Are you stoned? How can video footage that directly counters everything you claimed be “hardly relevant”, unless you mean to say that you didn’t actually watch any of them and continued to make assumptions based on your narrow-minded views, effectively donning the Dunce cap for any on-looker see.
Its ironic you bring up the YEC and use them as a limp attempt to insult me, because the logic you’ve demonstrated would make any FOX-loving republican proud.
I could say the same thing about you, responding after no less than 3 months. No one cares anymore.
And that video doesn’t even prove anything. It’s hardly relevant.
Ffs, it’s like debating a fucking Young Earth Creationist.
So your response is to ignore the video evidence I provided that directly counters your point, and cling to a single article for support while holding your hands to your ears and shouting la-la-la because you can’t accept the fact that you were wrong.
You’re a class act, Whatevs.
reads the linked article
fails to find any source, study, evidence or data for the 150,000 figure cited
…and oh hey, the Obama administration is planning to steal your 401(k)s. And the Rockefellers are buying up market-bottom properties as a step toward explicit communism in America.
Yeah, this guy sounds totally sane and reliable.
Also, still not relevant to original post.
Read the study and accept biology.
It’s the amount of Skilled Laborers exiling themselves from the US per year. (Infrastructure engineers, scientists, tool&die foremen and repairmen, various types of contractors, etcetera and so forth, the really important people that keep shit running.)
While they can be replaced with foreign-trained people (usually Indian) they don’t really know the ‘nuances’ of laws, regulations, or the coroporate culture and are pretty literal-minded due to cultural and language barriers, and it erects a bit of a wall between the upper echelons and the peons and customers. They also become inefficient due to being hugely anal retentive and by-the-book.
Wait, is 150,000 the number of Men’s Rights Activists there are? If so, yes, please do move away.
But does it really need to be pointed out that girls can be strong AND enjoy hard work? I mean, YOU DON’T SAY?!
All pics like these do is add more fuel to the fire.
I love how you went off on a tangent over such a simple picture.
Also, no, I realise how highly the deck is stacked, and like 150,000 other americans that do value their freedoms and livelihoods, I am either going to move, or go down fighting.
If you think men are discriminated against in this country, perhaps you could find some way to exercise political power to rectify the situation. That might be difficult, seeing as how men are only the vast majority in control of every lever of government and the economy, but where there’s a will, there’s a way. (Suggestion: perhaps the persistent obstacle to achieving your goal is that you have already achieved it.)
But more importantly, it IS NOT RELEVANT TO THIS POST. Seriously, why do you think this discussion is about discrimination against men? The original post says “Girls can be physically strong and enjoy hard work” and people go “no duh” and I point out that there are plenty of people who don’t think that’s true, or at least normal. And then Teraku claims that people don’t do that anymore because women aren’t discriminated against in this country, which is ridiculous on the face of it, since we’ve all seen it done, and then at least softens it to “well everyone is discriminated against,” as if that’s (either true or) relevant.
Nothing in the original chain of discussion involves discrimination against men, nothing in that chain of discussion would be invalidated by the existence of discrimination against men, and nothing in that discussion should have been taken as a signal for any MRAs to pop up and take over a conversation about discrimination against women. If someone popped and said “Nobody’s discriminated against in America; you want discrimination, look at what they’re doing to the Rohingyas in Myanmar,” that’s sad but not relevant either. Activism isn’t a case of who’s the biggest victim. If you want to complain about discrimination against men, make your own thread and see if anyone agrees with you.
Back to original topic. It’s good to see that so many posters in this thread take it as obvious that girls can have a few muscles and enjoy hard work!
That’s a perfect example of the whole “women get less severe punishments” thing.
yeeeuh boy howdy, sure is a buttload of feminine oppression going on in murrkkka you betcha yah wot!
When women don’t face 40% less harsh sentences for the same crimes,
When women don’t get child custody 95% of the time,
When women stop pulling fire alarms at equal rights seminars when it’s about men’s equality,
come back and tell me men aren’t discriminated against in this country.
EVERYONE gets discriminated. The problem is that some assholes like the radical feminists don’t want to admit it because they don’t want equality, they want fucking supremacy over men.
when the Congress is anything like evenly divided,
when women are hired and promoted without the background murmur of “when will she decide to get pregnant and leave us?”,
when the CEOs of America can hold a meeting that requires a few more women’s bathrooms in the hotel,
and when guys are no more ashamed to admit they like My Little Pony in public than a girl is to admit she likes G.I. Joe,
come back and tell me women aren’t discriminated against in this country.
I’m actually serious.
At least, women aren’t being discriminated more than men. Men suffer from discrimination too, but you never hear about that.
…not sure if serious.
That would’ve been a valid argument, if anyone still actually did that. No one discriminates women anymore these days.
You know you guys, the image says “can be.” It doesn’t say they all are.
And @Foreground Pony, you may think it’s obvious – and that’s good! – but to some people a strong girl or one who enjoys hard work is such an unusual idea that they make fun of her, or comment negatively about it, calling her “butch” or trying to take over for her when she’s just trying to get her work done.
The image is trying to get people not to do those things. It’s not just making a statement of fact – it’s trying to get readers to accept that statement of fact as normal.
Which a few posters in this thread seem to be having a hard time with.
