Obviously, it works on multiple levels. It’s a decent pony name - the “name describes your job or interest” kind - but when I saw it mentioned the first time I thought “Haha, I’m so headcanoning him as House.”
Hey, I HADN’T thought of the name as a comparison to House. I just through it was a reference to… well, stables, of course, but also to the ‘stable condition’ of his patients.

Eh, I think that, if Screw Loose really was his wife, he’d have a picture of her somehwere, instead of all these others that are framed on the walls.
I think the artist has at some point hinted at her being his wife and he trying to take care of her. I THINK, not sure if I am actually right.

I’d see it as one-sided: he’s just trying to be her doctor, but she follows him around.
Only thing I can’t decide if she’s her former wife or if it’s a forbidden doctor/patient thing, or both.
And that face. Totally says “Oh god I hope I haven’t started kidnapping other hospitals’ patients and bringing them home again.”
