Description
At some point more than ten thousand years ago, the climate warmed considerably, many earthquakes shook the lands, and the sea level rose. Rivers swelled, lakes ballooned, and forests swallowed up open grasslands. This is known to be what the Equus called the Great Upheaval. The many Equus herds were suddenly isolated from one another, and were also surrounded by new and unfamiliar landscapes. Herds found themselves stranded on mountain plateaus, isolated in steeply walled river valleys, stranded in hostile and wide deserts, and trapped between deep caves and dark forests. Things looked bleak for the Equus.
