Description
A summary of all the art I made in 2022, also known as the Year Everyone Decided to Turn on My Art.
I really don’t know what happened, but this year more than any other was when it seemed like everyone just hated what I made, especially on Derpi. You had people being all “go change your artstyle”, to attacking me just for venting and saying that nobody likes my art at all, to acting like gatekeepers thinking I should just never make art at all, and I don’t even want to go into detail into how some asshat on Twitter made a stint about me doing art, saying I was “wasting my time” and saying the most unflattering, awful things. Stuff like that really ruins my creative drive and makes me not want to draw anything.
That said, however, my friends have been extremely supportive of me, as were those who do actually like my art. I was able to make images all throughout the year (July and November especially), and I was able to comfortably make many of them at home after getting use to my PC setup there. I feel like I have made vast improvements since I first started doing this back in late 2016, despite what others may think. But there is always room to grow and improve more. To those who have stuck by me and offered support and words of encouragement, thank you so much. Its nice to know what I make is able to bring joy to some people and even inspire others to create too. It’s nice to know that there are those who find value in what I make.
Who knows what 2023 will offer up.
