If one has IBS for long enough they can develop lactose intolerance too - I did. Kind of a cruel joke to become even more reactive to certain foods when one is already having problems. :( Careful control of my diet has reduced my IBS symptoms and I’m able to digest dairy again, though many other foods are still verboten.
