Yup, every good princess needs their Prince Charming. Twilight will reform Blue Blood and he’ll become her husband, thus both of them will have babies with the new children being part of Hasbro’s 2014 toy set.
Except he actually did stick his neck out for one particular mare. To be an insufferable douche to her, but he still did. And that’s something that happened, unlike the assumption that he has been played by other mares.
Twilicorn is the perfect excuse for him to return.
Counting Rarity’s Fantasy scene in The Ticket Master, he’s already been in three. At this point, he’s just another incidental background unicorn.
Though… Now that Twilight is a Princess, there’s a chance he might become more relevant.

Re:Image- It probably would have gone less poorly for Rarity if she hadn’t assumed a Prince who probably gets played by mares all the time for money and prestige needs to stick his neck out for one particular mare of the night.
Whenever I think Blueblood’s a douche, I remember Rarity and realize that he’s not all bad.
