Actually, it’s a case of “stomach that’s bigger on the inside!”. Hence the “hammerspace belly” tag and no “instant digestion” tag.
The first guard is still intact and alive somewhere inside that sleek belly of Luna’s, though without much time to live because powerful alicorn digestion is happening in there… just not quite instantly nor visibly.
