Some other great authors are ginger fig, deathproofpony, mayclore, and that’s all I can name for now. They mostly do darker stuff, but it’s interesting to read like Mayclore’s Fluffy Lake or Ginger Fig’s Hugo the Fluffy Brat.

Say, Moffitartan. Why not upload it at fluffybooru too? That’s the place specifically for fluffy stuff (the good and the bad and everything in between).  
It sounds like you have some creative ideas, and I think the dedicated fluffy readers can give you more feedback than just anyone. Not saying you have to, but can’t hurt to upload it, can it?

@LAnubis: Oh I know. You and Great_Neckbeard are actually among the very few writers who I actually LIKE reading. I enjoy “Confound these Ponies they Drive Me to Drink”, the “Apple Haven” series, and while it is unsettling, “On the Rocks” is at the very least a fluffy “Watership Down”, so I can accept that.
 
I don’t know, I just hate that the overwhelming majority of fluffy stories are abuse and torture porn ones. You have to understand, I have a VERY large protective instinct towards children and anything that’s like a child, like a papa wolf or a mother bear. So seeing all those abuse stories, which essentially amount to torture porn of not-human-but-still-human-children, doesn’t just press my Berserk Button, it smashes it with a Hammer!
 
To be honest, that’s why I was all for the banning of fluffy abuse material here on Derpibooru. To me, it felt like it went not just against the very spirit of MLP: Friendship is Magic, but also against the very spirit of what it means to be a decent, good human being.
 
I will admit though, it has instilled in me the desire to come up with stories that show Fluffies “evolving” into tougher creatures, capable of surviving and defending themselves. I’d actually been in talks with MarcusMaximus about working on such an idea back on Ponibooru, about what would happen if you actually combined Fluffy Ponies (which are primarily, I now know, rabbit-with-sheep-and-reptile-dna-based) with actual horse DNA. If MarcusMaximus doesn’t have a problem with it, I’ll upload the prototype image here to give you all an idea of what such a fluffy would look like.
 
But, since Fluffy Ponies are here to stay at Derpibooru, I think those of us who are interested in these creatures should at least try to move some of our work back to the actual FiM world, so that at least some of it stays relevant to the fandom. I have some ideas that I’m going to be working on with that, and once I post them up here I’d appreciate any ideas you guys might have.
 
I apologize for pontificating so in this reply. For the most part, I kept almost completely quiet during the whole fight over fluffy ponies here, but I had to get that off my chest. If any of you stuck through reading all that, I do thank you for taking the time to read this. I do appreciate it.

If you look for stories past 4chan, you’ll find a lot of us have written stories that give fluffies more credit than just being hopelessly retarded creatures.

Personally, what I like the most about this is the story behind it: A college senior has three months to teach a fluffy pony the material needed to pass a kindergarten exit exam, and he goes and gets six of them due to the fact that, like children, fluffies apparently learn by peer example. To me, it kind of proves the idea that fluffy ponies have the potential to be more than the “too stupid to survive” stereotype 4chaners have applied to them.
