Why specifically Seasons 1 to 3 for Twilight and specifically the A New Generation movie for Izzy?

I don’t think either one of you get Starlight as a character at all. Yes, post-reformatoon she was a selfish twat. After she was reformed, however, she started to emphasize with others and use her powers for good. She saved Equestria on numerous occasions, putting her compassion for others and selflessness ahead of “improving her own power.” So, with all that said, thank you for showing to everyone that you know absolutely nothing about Starlight Glimmer as a character. But coming from Starlight Glimmer haters like you guys, that’s to be expected.

I can understand what you mean. I’ll agree Sunny always a healthier and better mindset.

I guess I have the headcanon of Starlight being someone who will use their independent mindset to do good. Post reform Starlight I mean. Whether she is successful in showing that good side of course can be debated.

But I meant it more in the similarities aspect and of course I was being rather vague. I always had the headcanon (not from the show) that Starlight became an activist for good in the end.

Pretty sure Cosmas was referring to post-reform Starlight.

Wow. You don’t understand Sunny at all. She never is that selfish. Everything she does is for the benefit of others. Starlight, while being a pony that improved over time, only sought to improve her own power, going as far as to trick the ponies in Our Town into thinking they were living in a socialist paradise and even attempting to change history so that she could get her town back.

Sunny, meanwhile, did two things: First she sent out that note that brought Izzy into Maretime Bay, the first time that a non-Earth pony had traveled there in at least a hundred years. Second, Sunny was the only pony who advocated for compassion toward the Pegasi and Unicorns, even when everypony else in Maretime Bay feared them. These two things are signs of compassion and selflessness, putting the needs of others above your own. They are not elements that Starlight has, but I would say both Fluttershy and Applejack have this level of selflessness.

Also, it should be noted that even after Sunny got we wings and horn, she didn’t try to consolidate her power or seek control. Instead, she mostly lives as she did before, earning bits by selling smoothies in the street, and sleeping in a standard bed with her other friends in the Crystal Brighthouse.

I like comparisons that are more obscure. Izzy and Pinkie is too obvious to me. I like these obscure comparisons. Like for me Starlight and Sunny because I see them as doing the way they prefer to do things despite what the others tell them
