Description
Context: Discord after pretending to be Grogar to boost Twilight’s confidence. My reasoning for Discord’s actions in s9 were always because of how Twilight accepted him as a friend in the s4 finale. Twilight comforts him after he breaks down from his misguided discordant conviction for her sake.
I had the idea for this image for a while, I’m so glad I was able to finally get it down. It took a while but i absolutely love how it came out :)

He really does have the emotional maturity of a petulant child. If the G5 comics are canon it took another thousand years and the death of everyone he knew before he started acting like an adult, and even then he’s gone insane.
Yeah I can see discord being like a schoolboy with a crush because he isn’t use to these new feelings

Count me three in that, man. I’ve always found Discord’s obsession with Twilight more telling than his friendship with Fluttershy. When you think about it, he went from going out of his way to annoy her to trying to lift her up while still annoying her, which feels kind of how a kid with a crush might try to get a girl’s attention.

Multiple eps trying to teach lessons in his own chaotic trolling way. But in context of the image, Discord is saying he was trying to help twilight, like she has helped him before.
