Yeah. OFC pratically everyone in Japan (and other places) has naturally black hair, so both Leorio and Gon being brunets is normal.
 
It seems weird for Cloudchaser and Flitter to look similiar because nobody in real life has blue or green hair, but still, even in worlds like the pony one, colors are limited…
 
And yeah Gon actually has green hair but really really really dark…

Maybe it’s like how both leorio and gon (in hunter x hunter) had tanned skin and hair which was either black, dark brown, black with white highlights, dark grey, or dark green, depending on adaptation. The two of them were not suppose to be any more closely related than 2nd cousins. (I do not know why they did not just make one of them ginger so there was only one tanned brunette\greenette on the team? OK Hisoka is sometimes some variant of red hair or lavender\light cyan, but i mean hair that’s actually orange-y.)
 
So i guess that must just be a common phenotype in town.
