Ever since The Young Six were introduced in Season 8, they have really grown on me A LOT. I think people were expecting The Young Six to have more episodes in Season 9, but they didn’t. They actually had less appearances in Season 9 than Season 8. I know this might sound stupid, but I have been crying lately because I feel bad for them. I know, I know, It sounds stupid that I’m crying over fictional characters, but it’s true. I really felt like they were poorly treated by Hasbro.

I’m not saying I hate G5, I just don’t care that much about it. I still think The Young Six deserve more attention, and I still think they should have a spin off.

I like G5. I think the characters are quite enjoyable. But it definitely is a shame that Hasbro didn’t do more with the Student Six.

I totally agree with you. The Young Six only had 3 episodes focusing entirely on them: “The Hearth’s Warming Club”, “What Lies Beneath”, and “Uprooted”. I always like to re-watch these episodes to bring me back. What’s the point of creating them if they’re not gonna have that much screen time? If they even thought that they would’ve taken up more screen time than the Mane Six, give them a spin off. G5 I don’t really care that much about.

You have no idea how much I have wanted to see a Student Six spinoff. Really, I think the biggest issue people had with the iconic group of school misfits is that they took screentime away from the Mane Six, but this minor issue could have been easily solved with a spinoff series. The Student Six could have headlined that series quite well, mand may have even been as popular as the Mane Six were. It could have given us a chance to go more in depth about the various non-pony species found in Equestria, while also giving the Student Six more opportunities to be fleshed out, with personalities very distinct from the existing Mane Six. I still think it’s a shame that never came to pass.
