Why can I not help but think of that episode of The Twilight Zone where someone travels in time to right before the Lincoln assassination?
Possibly. Ironically the more you try to change, that fate could actually happen way sooner than before.
Then why not take advantage of the situation and let everypony know that they are destined for war? Or would that only start a self-fulfilling prophecy and make things play out virtually the same, à la “The Einstein Gun” or “It’s About Time”?

Maybe, she still needs to save Velvet and all her friends are still in the future. If everyone had travelled here, maybe she would have a bigger desire to stay.
So would it play out like Plato’s Cave and would she thus desire to return home?

I remember this fic. Why did the author decided to delete it? It was good.
There’s an unfinished one I remember reading a couple years ago that was okay. Apparently it was removed from Fimfic at some point.
