Think about it. She didn’t want anyone to know she was a robot, so she used SCIENCE to trick everyone into thinking she was just magic (hence why her costume was the most WIZARDY of all). The fireworks were just ordinary missiles, the rope was controlled by nanomachines to make it look like it’s magic, the lightning was just an ordinary lightning generating device, and controlling Dashie’s rainbow was just a clever trick with very tiny glass prisms.
 
Trixie DID defeat an Ursa Minor, but using a massive plasma gun built into her chest - which she couldn’t show off to anyone without revealing her true form. It’s also why she’s so boastful, as she actually is the most powerful ‘pony’ in Equestria!
 
The Alicorn Amulet wasn’t some super-evil magic amulet, it was a device that converted electricity into magical ability. Which was why it was out in a back-water curiosity shop and sold for so little, as nopony could find a use for it. And the artifact wasn’t itself cursed, it was just Trixie being evil. Because, y’know, that always happens when you give a robot too much power.
